Paver patios and fire pits
Round patios with the fire pit in the middle and the pavers fanned out around it. Sunken ones tucked behind a curved seating wall. Square ones under the deck, finished with a dark border laid round the edge.

Retaining walls
Block walls that hold a slope, finish a bed or wrap a corner of the house, capped and backed with rock. The long curved wall at the top of this page is one of ours. So, once, was a wall around a chicken coop.

Walkways, steps and driveways
Flagstone-pattern walkways down the side of the house with a river-rock bed beside them. Curved steps down to the patio. Paver driveways, too.

Drainage and grading
Water on the patio, mud where there should be grass, a porch that floods. We regrade, put in channel drains and run rock beds to take it somewhere it can go.

Planting, rock and mulch
Old bushes out, new ones in, fabric down and rock on top. Fresh mulch, stepping stones, and general yard service.
